Most landscape companies buy their material from somewhere like us. We start with the material, which is the part that decides whether a bed looks right in year three.
What we install
Foundation beds and front yard renovation, shrubs, trees, perennials and annuals, seeding and sod, new construction planting and the rebuild of a yard that has been let go. Lighting goes in on the projects that want it.
Every one of those jobs is really a soil job first. On Gaston County clay a shrub set in a hole the size of its root ball, with the clay packed back around it, sits in a bathtub and dies slowly. The bed gets opened up and conditioned before anything goes in the ground.

How a job starts
Someone comes out and looks. Sun and shade through the day, where the water goes when it rains hard, what the soil actually is once a shovel goes in it, and what the house looks like from the street. Then you get a plan and a price.
The plan is written to be built in stages if that suits you better. Beds and grading first, plants next season, lighting after that. Nothing about the first stage has to be undone to do the second.

Yes. Custom landscape design and installation is what the company has done since 1982, and the supply yard grew out of it.
Fall is the best window in the Piedmont. The soil is still warm, the air is cool, and roots get a whole winter of rain before their first summer. Spring is a close second. July planting is possible and it is all watering.
